About Us

Due to the current perceived threat to personal and event security, there is a growing demand for reliable protection services. SimmSec is able to provide a bespoke security solution, drawing upon years of experience and an in-depth understanding and appreciation of changing client requirements. Security no longer involves just a visual presence to deter a physical threat, but is based upon the early recognition and discrete resolution of potential issues, with the minimum of disruption and inconvenience.

EXPERIENCE

SimmSec Ltd already has experience of providing personal protection services for a number of household names & business people. We are providers of security & stewarding for the Liverpool International Tennis TournamentLiverpool Food & Drink Festival and North West Fashion Festival, to name but a few. This involves crowds of up to 25,000 & requires the recruitment & training of staff. Our approved training centre, The BDC Centre of Excellence, enables us to facilitate this venture.

THE OWNERS

The owners & Managing Directors of SimmSec Ltd are Matt and Julie Simms, both of whom have developed a reputation for providing a first class service within the Merseyside area. Matt has 20 years’ experience within the security industry and is currently a Personal Protection Operative, with an extensive portfolio of client’s & over 7 years’ experience.

OUR STAFF

Our security staff and stewards are trained to SIA standards and to the high expectations required by SimmSec. As well as a strict code of practice for our staff, we ensure their welfare, working environment & conditions to keep them motivated & enthused to assisting us in delivering our excellence of service. As a family business, we also adopt a family atmosphere that our staff feel part of.

THE TRAINING

As well as providing the training that is required for people to work within the security industry, i.e. Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry, SimmSec also provide training services to external companies, who may require staff to be competent or at least aware of issues in Conflict Management, Physical Intervention or Advanced Physical Intervention. Conflict management training is beneficial to any business or organisation, as it covers conflict in the workplace and helps to encourage codes of practice/conduct in the workplace for employees and customers alike. We promote & use the McCormack Training system, approved by majority of awarding organisations as the best system out there.

WORK EXPERIENCE

We are aware that a lot of the time, once candidates have successfully passed there chosen qualification, it is still very difficult for them to then find work due to a lack of experience. We offer successful candidates the opportunity to gain that experience for their CV's, by allowing them to work at some of the events we provide services for.
